As part of our ongoing efforts to provide you and your clients with the best possible experience, we’ve undertaken a multi-year process of consolidating our legacy administrative platforms into one modern system. To date, we have migrated eight administrative systems. We are excited to share that we expect to complete the ninth and final migration over the upcoming weekend.
As we prepare for this update, we want to make you aware of some key dates and details you should know.
What’s happening — and when Beginning Friday, January 17 and continuing through the weekend, we will be moving approximately 175,000 inforce policies onto our modern system.
This final migration will include our currently issued indexed, variable and universal life products.
Key details on system availability While we do not anticipate any significant service interruptions, please note the following impacts on business during the migration:
New business and inforce processing: To accommodate the migration, we will not be issuing policies or applying payments from Friday, January 17 - Monday, January 20. This applies to all policies and products (term and permanent). Normal business processing will resume on Tuesday, January 21.
Compensation: For cases funded on January 16, commissions will be deposited into accounts by Wednesday, January 22. Premiums received on Friday, January 17, will be included in the January 24 pay run, with these commissions deposited into accounts by Wednesday, January 29.
What to expect This milestone marks the culmination of one of our largest investments in inforce service in our history, reflecting our commitment to offering you and your clients the most reliable and convenient technology. It means you and all your John Hancock clients will be able to leverage self-service tools, including access to historical financial transactions and backdated values. Additionally, all policy correspondence will have a consistent look and feel.
We are here to support you with anything that may arise during this final phase of our conversion and will update you when the migration is complete. Please feel free to contact your John Hancock sales representative directly with any inquiries.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we achieve this important milestone.
